DAY 1: Arrival Ho Chi Minh
Upon arrival Saigon, Az Asia Travel 's guide will welcome and pick up to hotel for leisure.
DAY 2: Arrival Ho Chi Minh
Visit the Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, Cholon (Chinatown), Binh Tay Wholesale Market and Thien Hau Pagoda.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - Tay Ninh - Cu Chi - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L/)
The head quarter of Cao Dai sect is located in Tay Ninh. This religion was founded in 1923 and now numbers over 2 million members. After breakfast we travel by roads to Tay Ninh to see the ornate temple of Cao Dai and attend the fantastic mid-day service when the followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Afterwards we continue to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, which were an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war. O/N in Ho Chi Minh.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L/)
Heading out of town we travel by roads to the Mekong Delta, Vietnam's largest rice bowl. On arrival in My Tho we embark on a boat navigating around the intricate small canals in the delta region, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up. This thrilling excursion will pass the lush green vegetation before arriving on an island. Here we have opportunities to visit some fascinating local industries, stroll around an orchard and taste many seasonal fruits. After feasting on a huge lunch we return to Ho Chi Minh, stopping off along the way to see the beautiful Ving Trang Pagoda and the Cho Lon, Saigon's Chinatown, which is crammed with fascinating temples and mysterious, narrow lanes. Day 5: HCMC - Hoi An (B/L)
Transfer to airport and fly on Vietnam Airlines to Danang. Upon arrival at Danang you will be greeted by our guide who will begin by escorting you on a tour of Danang City, including the Cham Museum where you can find out more about this ancient but advanced civilization. After leaving Danang we will make our way the short distance to the Marble Mountains , where there will be the opportunity to climb to the top and admire the temples that have a commanding view over the surrounding district. We will continue to the delightful town of Hoi An, approximately 30km away. Check in. At leisure. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 6: Hoi An (B)
From the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An was a thriving international commercial port for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab traders. These people came primarily to trade in the high grade silk, which is still produced in the area, as well as ceramics.
Today, Hoi An is a quaint riverside town, popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, tailors shops, and numerous cafes. Some of the buildings in the narrow streets have remained unchanged for more than a century. We enjoy a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the ancient quarter visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200-year-old Tam Ky ancestral house, and the Japanese Bridge . Day 7: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue (B/L)
You leave Hoi An for Hue for two-night stay. Afternoon you board on a Dragon Boat for cruising on the romantic Perfume River. This time we head out for the countryside. Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded with ancient tombs of emperors past, temples and pagodas, and a visit to the most beautiful tombs will be on the itinerary for today. The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop of the day. You can get a great view of the Perfume River and surrounding area. Visit Thien Mu Pagoda which is considered the symbol of Hue and of Buddhism in Vietnam. From here you will continue drive to visit the ornate Minh Mang's tomb and Tu Duc tomb. Overnight in Hue.
Day 8: Hue (B/D)
Today you explore this fabulous city starting with a visit to the Citadel, containing the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple City, the Emperor's private residence. The Imperial City, created in the 19th century and modeled on the Forbidden City in Beijing. There are many palaces and temples inside. We also visit the Imperial Museum, The Tu Hieu Pagoda and the vibrant Dong Ba Riverside market. To round off the day's activities, you visit one of Hue 's fine restaurants to sample some of the local delicacies; Hue is regarded by many as the culinary capital of Vietnam . Overnight in Hue .
DAY 9: HUE TO HANOI
Free time for shooping before flying to Hanoi. This afternoon visit the Ethnology Museum and enjoy a performance of the famous Water Puppets this evening.
DAY 10: HANOI TO SAPA VIETNAM
Today we visit Ho Chi Minh Quarter, where we see the Humble House on Stilts and One Pillar Pagoda and later drive around Hoan Kiem Lake. This evening we board our overnight train to Sapa.
Day 11: Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat (B, L)
Upon arrival in Lao Cai (eta: 06.00), transferred to Sapa by car. Relax. Your guide will meet you at hotel for short trek to Cat cat village, the village of H'mong tribe in the valley, which remains very generally uncorrupted outside forces. Excellent views of the valley, the magnificent limestone and paddy fields of H'mong village. Enjoy some visits to local families and reach their customs. After the village down into the valley, the Cat Cat waterfall will be visible. A "White curtain" cascade appears, surrounded by flowery valley and deep-green pines. The rocks near the river and waterfall provide a marvelous place for picturesque photos and sunbathing during good weather… overnight at the Sapa Hotel.
Day 12: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Stay Overnight in Sapa (B, L)
Train tickets: Lao Cai – Hanoi (A/C 4 soft berth cabin) Breakfast before private car transferred to Lao Chai village, a village of Black H’mong. Short trek down to river to visit hill tribe house to see their living style and the local woman made their handicraft clothes. Further on along the road, the Tavan village where Dzay people staying can be seen. Visit the village and reach their customs. Turn back to Sapa in afternoon for car transferred to Laocai railway station, caught night train back to Hanoi that departs at 20.15.
Day 13: Hanoi – Halong Bay - Stay Overnight on Halong Bay Cruise (B, L, D)
Upon arrival in Hanoi at 4.30, you will be picked up and have breakfast. At 8.00 we leave Hanoi for Halong Bay, stop on route for relax and sightseeing Arrive at 12.00 at noon. At Ha Long port, our Crew welcomes you on Junk, enjoy welcome drink & check into your cabin. Lunch with seafood will be served right after. At 13.00, boat starts 3.5 hours cruising into Ha Long bay to see the amazing karsts with different formations: Mat Qui (Monster’s face) Islet, But Moc Islet, Cap De Islet, Trong (Drum) Cave, Trinh Nu Cave, to a Floating Fishing village to see this unique way of life... and then explore Luon Cave (from 16.40 to 17.30). There will be lots of time for swimming, sun bathing. Enjoy a great sunset dinner and relax under the starlit sky before retiring to the comfort of your cabin.
Day 14: Ha Long – Ha Noi (B, L)
Early risers can enjoy a morning view of Bay’s landscapes with a cup of tea, coffees, fresh fruits. Sitting on the upper deck, we can enjoy the breath - taking beauty of the rocky Islands rising from the crystal-clear waters of the Bay. The quiet is almost eerie; we can hear birds singing, cicadas chirping ashore and the gentle lapping of the waves against our boat, the perfect soundtrack to accompany the fresh air and gentle breeze. And then explore Sung Sot (Amazing) Cave (8.00 to 9.00), swim and relax at Titop beach. At 09.30, boat start cruising back and brunch buffet will served from 10.30 to 11.30, check out procedure at 11.35. Arrive at harbor by 12.00 at noon, and drive back to Ha Noi airport for flight to Hue that depart at 17.25, upon arrival in Hue you will be picked up to hotel for relax
DAY 15: HANOI TO LUANG PRABANG (B, D)
Fly to Luang Prabang, Laos. Enjoy a walking tour of the town, visiting Wat Xieng Thong and Wat Visoun. Later we climb Phousi Hill for a panoramic view of the city.
DAYS 16: LUANG PRABANG (B, L,D)
Rise early this morning to view Takbat, a Buddhist ceremony. Cruise the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves, visiting Tham Ting and Tham Phoum caves en route. Return to Luang Prabang stopping along the way at Ban Xang Khong. Tomorrow we visit the National Museum before we continue on to Kuangsi Waterfalls, visiting a H’mong and Khmou village en route. We also stop at Ock Pop Tok Weaving Centre. In the evening we witness a Baci Ceremony.
DAY 17: LUANG PRABANG TO VANG VIENG (B, L,D )
Drive to Vang Vieng, visiting Phoukhoune, Ban Houn Xay and Kasi en route. Stop at Pathang and enjoy a boat ride on the Nam Song River, then continue to Vang Vieng.
DAYS 18-19: VANG VIENG TO VIENTIANE (B, L ,D)
Today we visit Tham Chang Cave before driving to Vientiane. Tomorrow visit Thongkhankham Market, Wat Si Saket, Wat Phra Keo, That Luang Stupa and the Patuxai Victory Monument. Later visit Talat Sao and the Buddha Park before we enjoy a traditional Lao dance show this evening.
DAY 20: VIENTIANE TO PHNOM PENH (B, L,D )
Fly to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This afternoon we see the majestic Silver Pagoda, Emerald Buddha and the National Museum.
DAY 21: PHNOM PENH (B, L)
Today we visit the Apsara Association, where underpriveledged children are taught traditional dance and music. Also visit the emotional Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocidal Crimes. Later enjoy free time at the Russian Markets.
DAY 22: PHNOM PENH TO SIEM REAP (B, L,D )
Fly to Siem Reap where we visit Prasat Kravan, Sreah Srang, Banteay Kdei and East Mebon before watching the sunset from the summit of Pre Rup.
DAY 23: SIEM REAP (B, L)
Drive to the fortified city of Angkor Thom. Start at the South Gate, continue to the Bayon, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. This afternoon visit the magnificent Angkor Wat.
DAY 24: SIEM REAP (B, L)
August to February - High water season Cruise on Tonle Sap and visit a floating village then continue to Ta Keo and Ta Prohm. March to July - Low water season Visit Banteay Srei, Ta Keo and fabulous Ta Prohm.
DAY 25: DEPART SIEM REAP (B )
Enjoy the morning at leisure before transferring to Siem Reap airport .End of your trip
